Every home by Jodelle is a piece of art.

Like a well done piece of art, the furniture and decor of every room in the home should be well balanced, generate a flood of positive emotions, create a picture of doing life in the home and provide a safe, functional space for which you want to hang your hat. The photographs and digital media should be rendered to capture every nuance created by the design and highlight the unique selling features of the home in the best possible light. The home should be attractive enough to end up on a magazine cover. This is the heart and philosophy that goes into every home serviced By Jodelle, Ltd.

Jodelle Forsberg, lead designer and owner of By Jodelle, Ltd., developed the "ripple effect" design method and her digital expertise through her extensive experience in marketing, advertising, education, and sales.

Over twenty years of her career was spent developing marketing materials in both print and film media for various clients. She would develop the overall marketing approach through researching the needs of her target audience and then highlighting the ways the products and or services best fulfilled those needs. Jodelle personally developed the project from start to finish including the production, layout, graphic illustrations, logos, photography and copywriting. She has extensive experience in Photoshop which makes things like editing out a camera from a mirror and adding fire to a fireplace second nature.

Jodelle also spent thirteen years developing educational material and strategies that incorporated a multi-sensory approach to learning. Engaging several senses at once generates the development of multiple pathways in the brain which makes it easier to retrieve the information later. This understanding of sensory stimulation translates into her designs, heightens her awareness of the role digital media plays in sales, and makes her acutely aware of both positive and negative triggers she may encounter in a photo shoot or staging project.

For over ten years she managed a bookstore, where one of her key roles was to design and maintain an overall layout for the store that provided easy accessibility to customers, displayed products to both catch the eye and stimulate sales, created an organization structure that made it easy to find products, and triggered an overall positive shopping experience through sights, sounds, and interactive experiences.

In her free time, she loves to be creative, whether it is photographing closeups of flowers or crafting. This love for photography translates into her success as a real estate photographer even though the shooting methods are quite different. This artist eye also sets her photographs apart in both the initial setup of the shot and the meticulous detail applied in post-production. Every home design she does contains one-of-a kind elements like custom florals; hand-crafted place settings and cookbook inspired faux food displays that are a direct result of her artistry.

Be aware of your surroundings.

You can prepare a seller to the best of your ability, but sometimes things are left unnoticed. If it means moving a trash can left in the front of the home, fluffing up pillows on a sofa or putting up a neutral shower curtain, we will stop at nothing in our pursuit for the perfect shot.

Capturing the magic.

There is a difference between the amateur and professional photographer that goes far beyond their expertise with the equipment or their knowledge of how light works. For the professional, it’s an art form. It’s about framing the shot to achieve the perfect balance. There is added pride taken in the details. It’s about moving a mountain or balancing on a tight rope to achieve the  image you are looking for.

Faux food is normally very expensive; so many designers will choose to leave it out of their designs or incorporate standard items like faux bread and cheese. Our artists create the food in-house to complement color groupings and target specific demographics. Some of our pieces leap directly from the pages of the cookbook.
