Flambient is the newest technique in real estate photography.
This photographic technique produces masterclass and magazine quality images.
A photographer that is using "flambient" shooting techniques starts with the ambient shot. This shot forms the most natural shadows and highlights, but contains several artifacts like color casting, which results when light is reflected off an object casting its color on something else.
Next, from the same position the flash shot is taken. It contains the most accurate hues. The shadows, on the other hand, appear synthetic.
The two photographs together form the perfect union. The photo editor takes the best elements from both shots and combines them to form a master-class, magazine quality image that makes the home the star. That is why all our real estate photographers use the “flambient” method for all key rooms. "Flambient" photo editing requires a great deal of advanced skill and that is why the amount of photographers in any given real estate market using "flambient" is limited.
Bracketing is used for exterior shots and the remaining interior rooms. It consists of taking multiple exposures of the same image. These exposures are combined by painting in the best elements of each in the final photograph during editting. For example, the underexposed image usually has the best sky. Our technicians prefer this method over HDR (high dynamic range), because the control is left in the hands of the artist.
Our digital technicians will also do minimal retouching without sacrificing realism. They have extensive experience in Photoshop which makes things like editing out a camera from a mirror and adding fire to a fireplace second nature. These edits are done for free, along with sky replacement and television screen shots when appropriate. The goal is to produce magazine quality images that present the home as the star.
